of deaths and disappearances that the U.S. House Oversight Committee has formally opened
an investigation into. It applies The Quanfinity Project's full six-tier evidence standard
throughout. This report does not allege that any individual was murdered, abducted,
or targeted. It documents what the public record shows: who is missing or deceased,
what their professional backgrounds were, what federal investigators have formally stated,
and what questions remain open. The UAP/disclosure context is documented as a factual
policy backdrop — not as a causal claim. All speculative inference is labeled OA.
The reader is invited to draw their own conclusions from the documented facts.

Between 2023 and May 2026, eleven people with documented access to classified nuclear,
aerospace, and space research programs died or disappeared. The House Oversight Committee
has opened a formal investigation. Members of Congress say they are being blocked.
The first major disappearance occurred four days after a presidential directive
ordering disclosure of UAP-related government files.
This report begins not with speculation but with the most credible possible starting
point: the official record of the United States Congress. In April 2026, Representatives
James Comer and Eric Burlison of the House Oversight Committee formally requested
information on what they described as a string of mysterious deaths and disappearances
among scientists and military figures connected to sensitive government programs.

Representatives Comer and Burlison issued a formal press release stating:
"Public reports raise questions about a possible sinister connection between a string
of mysterious deaths and disappearances." The committee formally requested information
from relevant agencies. The press release identified specific individuals and noted
that "these deaths and disappearances may represent a grave threat to U.S. national
security." This is not a fringe claim. It is an official congressional document.
C1 — Verified: Representative Tim Burchett — On-Record Statement
Rep. Tim Burchett stated publicly and on record that the intelligence community
is actively blocking his investigation into the cluster of deaths and disappearances.
He stated: "We will not have UFO disclosure — they don't want it out." He added:
"I'm gonna keep busting their ass on it though. I'm gonna keep fighting."
This statement was made to reporters and is part of the public record.
C2 — Credible: White House Press Briefing — April 2026
When Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy questioned Press Secretary Karoline
Leavitt about "a pattern of missing and dead scientists," Leavitt acknowledged the
trend was "worth looking into" — signaling the matter had moved from online speculation
to a question requiring an official White House response. President Trump separately
stated he hoped the cases were coincidence but that relevant agencies were
"looking into things."
The following individuals are documented in the public record as dead or missing,
with connections to classified nuclear, aerospace, or space research programs. Each
entry reflects what named journalism and official records confirm. Cause and
connection between cases is not asserted beyond what official investigations have
stated.
Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland
Former Commander, Air Force Research Laboratory — Wright-Patterson AFB
Disappeared February 27, 2026, from his Albuquerque, NM home.
Left behind phone, prescription glasses, and wearable tracking devices. Took wallet,
a .38 caliber revolver with holster, and a red backpack. Clothing found near the property.
No trace found despite FBI-assisted searches in the Sandia Mountains. Disappeared four
days after Trump's February 20 UAP disclosure directive.
Known in UAP research circles since 2016 WikiLeaks emails identified him as connected
to classified materials. Silver Alert remains in effect.
Missing — Active Investigation
Monica Jacinto Reza
Director, Materials Processing Group — NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory; Co-inventor, Mondaloy aerospace alloy
Disappeared June 2025 while hiking in Angeles National Forest,
California, with a friend. Has not been found. Co-inventor of Mondaloy, a metal alloy
engineered for advanced rocket propulsion. McCasland oversaw the program that funded
Mondaloy. Two senior figures from the same classified research program vanished within
eight months of each other.
Missing — Investigation Ongoing
Carl Grillmair
Astrophysicist — Caltech / NASA Collaborator
Shot and killed on his front porch, February 16, 2026.
Known for work on galaxy collisions and the search for water on exoplanets.
Alleged perpetrator Freddy Snyder was arrested. No clear motive established.
The two men did not appear to know each other. Snyder had been arrested for a
felony months earlier, with the charge subsequently dropped before the killing.
Deceased — Investigation Ongoing
Jason Thomas
Pharmaceutical / Materials Researcher — Novartis
Disappeared December 12, 2025. Wife reported him missing when
he did not return home. Body recovered from a Massachusetts lake on March 17, 2026 —
the same day a major confirmed fireball struck Ohio. Cause of death not publicly disclosed.
Deceased — Cause Undisclosed
Amy Eskridge
Plasma Physicist — Antigravity Technology Research / NASA-affiliated
Died by suicide in Huntsville, Alabama. A friend stated she had
told him that if she died by suicide, it would not be true and that she was being
targeted by a directed energy weapon. This claim has not been verified by law enforcement.
The Quanfinity Project reports it as C3 — single source, unverified, requires corroboration.
Deceased — C3: Pre-death statement unverified
Michael David Hicks
NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory — Comets and Asteroids Division (1998–2022)
Died July 30, 2023. Cause of death not publicly disclosed.
His daughter told CNN her father had been struggling with known medical issues and
that speculation about his death has her "shaken up." Identified by Congress as the
starting point of the documented pattern.

C2 — Credible: Rolling Stone / NewsNation / CNN — April 2026
Multiple major outlets confirmed the common thread identified by congressional
investigators: all eleven individuals had documented access to sensitive nuclear and
aerospace research. Former FBI official Chris Swecker stated on Fox News that, based
on past cases involving sensitive national security information, it was "within the
realm of possibility" that researchers could be targeted for classified knowledge.
He added there is no specific evidence this occurred in any of these cases.
No single fact in this report is more striking in its timing than this one, and none
is more carefully labeled for what it is and is not.
C1 — Verified: Presidential Directive — February 20, 2026
On February 20, 2026, President Trump signed a directive ordering every
federal agency to begin identifying and releasing government files related to UAP
(Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) and extraterrestrial life. The directive was public.
Agencies were formally on notice that a review was beginning. The White House registered
alien.gov and aliens.gov as official government domains in connection with the initiative.
C1 — Verified: McCasland Disappearance Date
William Neil McCasland disappeared on February 27, 2026 — four days after
the disclosure directive was issued. He left hours after a private dinner with members
of the U.S. Space Force. He took his revolver. Newly released bodycam footage documented
a witness who dined with McCasland noting he was "spacey and quiet" the night before.
LI — Logical Inference
The four-day gap between a presidential UAP disclosure directive and the
disappearance of a former Air Force general specifically identified in the 2016 WikiLeaks
emails as connected to classified materials is a documented factual sequence. The
Quanfinity Project does not assert that this sequence is causal. It is, however, a
sequence that the public record documents, and that congressional investigators have
specifically cited as relevant context for their investigation.

The Quanfinity Project's editorial standard requires precision about the boundary between
documented fact and inference. That boundary is especially important in a report like this one,
where the subject matter carries cultural weight and where the temptation to connect dots
beyond what evidence supports is significant. We hold that line here.
C1 — Verified: What the Record Confirms Without Inference
1. Eleven people with classified nuclear and aerospace research connections have died
or disappeared between 2023 and May 2026.
2. The House Oversight Committee has opened a formal investigation and issued official
documentation naming this as a potential national security concern.
3. Members of Congress have stated on record that the intelligence community is

The Quanfinity Project does not answer the OA questions above. We document them.
The reader is in possession of the same public record we are. The inferences are yours to draw.
Read in isolation, each of the three parts of The Anomaly Files is notable but
explainable. Unexplained sonic booms are unusual but not unprecedented. Industrial
disasters occur with grim regularity at under-regulated facilities. Scientists and
military officials die and go missing for reasons that have nothing to do with
their professional knowledge.
The Anomaly Files does not claim otherwise. What this series documents is not a
conspiracy. It documents a convergence — a cluster of events, each significant on its
own terms, that occurred within a compressed window of time, against a backdrop of
reduced federal agency capacity, an active but obstructed congressional investigation,
and an administration that has simultaneously moved toward UAP disclosure and reduced
the scientific infrastructure that would contextualize what is being disclosed.
