On April 15, 2026, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy stood in the White House briefing room and asked press secretary Karoline Leavitt a question that, six months earlier, would have been dismissed as the province of conspiracy forums: were there ten dead or missing American scientists with access to classified nuclear or aerospace material, and was anyone investigating whether the cases were connected? Seven days later, simultaneous investigations had been announced by the White House, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the FBI. The acceleration tells you something. People whose professional job is to evaluate national security threats looked at this list and concluded it required a federal investigation. That finding is documented. Eskridge claimed she was being stalked by "an Eastern European man in his 50s or 60s who used a Lexus with plates that changed almost daily." She claimed he pulled up as an Uber when her partner called for a ride. She described the campaign as lasting "several years" but escalating into "aggressive and invasive behavior." A video preserved online shows Eskridge stating her "hands have been burned to hell and back" — attributed by her to an RF k-band emitter she claimed was inside a surveillance vehicle. She shared burn-mark photographs with former British intelligence officer Franc Milburn. Referenced "my ex-CIA weapons guy on my team" who had witnessed the marks. Rep. Found dead in Huntsville, Alabama. Official ruling: self-inflicted gunshot wound. No police report, no autopsy, no medical examiner statement has been publicly released. Body reportedly cremated shortly after death — Milburn stated this prevented further forensic investigation. Milburn, who spoke with Eskridge hours before she was found dead, concluded she did not commit suicide. Independent investigators presented their findings to Congress in 2023.
The Eskridge case presents the most extensive pre-death warning record of any subject in this series, paired with the most opaque official record. The combination — extensive documented self-warnings, zero official transparency, rapid cremation, and formal congressional attention — produces an evidentiary situation that cannot be resolved from available public sources. Her father, a retired NASA propulsion researcher who co-founded her research institute, maintains that her death was not suspicious. His position is part of the documented record and is not dismissed. This publication presents the full record and makes no finding as to whether her death was suicide, homicide, or the result of the targeting she documented. The Federal Response
The speed and simultaneity of the institutional response to this cluster is itself a data point. Congressional oversight committees do not launch formal multi-agency investigations within days of a news cycle unless investigators have examined the underlying record and found it sufficient to warrant action.
The House Oversight Committee's April 20, 2026 letter to the DoD, FBI, Department of Energy, and NASA specifically flagged the documented professional link between Monica Reza and General McCasland — noting their shared connection to "an Air Force–funded research program in the early 2000s pertaining to advanced materials needed for reusable space vehicles and weapons" — and stated this connection "has not been explained." The Department of Defense confirmed in response that there are no active national security investigations of any current or former clearance-holder in special access programs among the named subjects — a response the Committee said left "many unanswered questions." As of May 2026, the FBI has made no arrests and confirmed no connection between any cases.
As of May 2026, no connection between any of the cases documented in this chapter has been confirmed by the FBI or any other federal investigative body. Some family members of those connected to the cluster have publicly contested conspiracy characterizations and expressed grief at seeing their relatives linked to what they characterize as sensationalism.
